Indigo Entry: My Exploration Of Time
Time Is Not As It Seems....

Today, I find myself pondering the fascinating concept of time and its illusory nature. It all began with the intriguing tale of Jestus the Trickster and the creation of the Ethea Games, which separated the Daughters Past, Present, and Future from Mother Timeless. This story unveiled a deeper truth about time – that it is not as linear and objective as we often perceive it to be.
Time, as I now understand it, is an illusion. It is a construct that varies across different cultures and perspectives. Indigenous cultures view time as cyclical, a never-ending loop of events repeating themselves. In contrast, African cultures emphasize the present moment, valuing the here and now. Western cultures often look ahead, focusing on the future and what lies ahead. Each perspective offers a unique lens through which to comprehend this elusive concept.

This realization sparks contemplation about the role of time in movies and stories. Filmmakers and writers skillfully manipulate time to evoke emotions and create meaning. Through techniques like montage, flashbacks, flash-forwards, pacing, and tempo, they can alter our perception of time, blurring its boundaries and stirring our senses. These artistic devices serve as a testament to the malleability of time and its ability to influence our experiences.
Drawing from these insights, I feel compelled to challenge traditional notions of time management. Rather than perceiving time as a finite and scarce resource to be managed, I embrace a new approach that honors different cultural perspectives and unleashes creativity. Instead of attempting to control time, I focus on managing tasks and priorities within the present moment.
By embracing the illusory nature of time, I recognize that the past and future are merely disassociations of the timeless. They manifest as events, memories, and fragments of identity, woven into the fabric of our experiences. Sensory encounters are the building blocks that form our stories, stored within us as the accumulation of our existence.

In dreams and meditation, I have encountered the distortion of time firsthand. Within those spaceless states, time becomes timeless and intertwines with imagination. It is in these moments that the strangers, those aspects of the nameless, possess the power to bend anything, transcending the confines of our perception.
The intensity and pain that accompany us on our journey through the timeless space signify the formation and shifting of something profound. Time, when viewed as a story or a movie, undergoes a metamorphosis. Seconds take on the form of names or concepts, minutes become spells, hours transform into paragraphs, and the pages of nights unfold like chapters. In this new perspective, time becomes an embodiment of collected tales, where weeks merge into segments, months become chapters, and years shape the grand arcs of our personal folktale.

Guided by these reflections, I embrace a paradigm shift in my approach to time management. Rather than striving to control an illusion, I focus on the present moment and the tasks that demand my attention. I channel my energy into being fully present, wholeheartedly engaging in each task I undertake. This way, I aim to maximize my productivity, enhance my well-being, and foster a profound connection with the world around me.
As I conclude this journal entry, I am filled with a newfound appreciation for the illusion of time. By understanding and respecting the diverse cultural perspectives on time, we can reshape our relationship with it. Let us embark on this journey together, embracing the fluidity and creativity that arise when we relinquish our grip on the illusion of time...
