As I sat in my bedroom, surrounded by a towering stack of shoe boxes, I eagerly propped my phone atop the makeshift tripod and hit record. The video that resulted may not have been the prettiest, but it was one of the most exciting moments of my life. As the old TV (not the sleek, flat screen models of today) flickered to life, I knew that I was embarking on a new journey. With a little help from an app on my phone and the iconic "Little Einstein" song as the soundtrack, I edited and uploaded my first YouTube video. It wasn't perfect, but it was the start of my YouTube career - a journey that, although short-lived, was filled with excitement and the thrill of creativity.
As I set out to create my first YouTube video, I didn't let the small details hold me back. Sure, there was a watermark from the app I used and the TV was flickering a bit, but I was too focused on the excitement of the creative process to let those things weigh me down. Instead, I allowed myself to be consumed by the moment and to take action from that space. It was At that moment that I became someone different - someone who wasn't afraid to try new things and to put myself out there.
The video itself was of me and my friends playing Call of Duty Black Ops, just having a blast and not worrying about the quality of the video. It was a joyful and carefree experience, and it inspired me to create another video. Whether it was perfect or not didn't matter - what mattered was that I was having fun and allowing my creativity to flow. And in the end, isn't that what truly matters?
In this second YouTube video, you might notice some improvements from the first one. There were more scenes, the video was a bit longer, and there was even some syncing with the music. But what you might not know is that the original song I had planned to use for the video was "Call Me on My Cell Phone" by Drake, but I ended up having to switch to the song "Stop Playing" due to copyright issues. Despite the last-minute change, I was still able to create an epic video that I still love to this day.
Creating this video taught me a valuable lesson about the importance of flexibility and being able to adjust when necessary. I didn't let the copyright issue hold me back or judge myself for not looking up the permissions beforehand. Instead, I simply made the necessary adjustments and kept pushing forward, having a blast with my friends in the process. It was a truly enjoyable experience, and it showed me the value of creating things and not being afraid to make adjustments when needed.
In this video, you'll see a major improvement in my video-making skills. I had a blast playing GTA 5 and creating a music video to the song "Dynamite," with each scene perfectly choreographed to the right part of the song. While you might notice that the screen was shaking a bit (I was still recording the screen), overall, this video represents a huge improvement from where I started.
It's amazing to think about how far I've come in such a short time. When I first started making videos, they weren't the prettiest things in the world, but through practice and persistence, I was able to drastically improve my skills and create something that I'm truly proud of. This video is a testament to the power of hard work and dedication, and it's something that I'll always look back on with pride.
In this video, you'll see an even greater level of improvement as I added music and my own voiceover to the footage. The video itself was an episode of a jailbreak scenario in GTA 5, with everything carefully planned out and rehearsed. From breaking out of my cell to using a mod to infiltrate the prison, every step of the escape was thoughtfully executed. While there were a few hiccups along the way (as there always are in video production), overall, the final product was nothing short of perfect.
One of the most notable improvements in this video is the addition of an intro and an ending, which really elevate the overall feel of the video. It's clear that I've gained a lot of experience and improved my skills significantly since my first few videos, and I'm excited to continue learning and growing as a creator. Whether it's through the use of music and voiceover or through more polished production values, I'm always looking for ways to take my videos to the next level.
In this video, you'll see a major improvement in terms of production value. With HD quality transitions, high-quality music, and an updated intro, this video really stands out from my earlier ones. One of the key factors in this improvement was my ability to record the footage using the Black Ops rendering system, which allowed me to capture much higher quality video. From there, I would transfer the footage to my phone and use an app to edit the video, adding in music, transitions, and any other elements that I wanted. The result was a professional-looking video with no watermarks or other distractions, and it really showcases the progress I've made as a creator.
After this video, I slowed down a bit with my video-making due to the demands of high school and other commitments. Still, the experience of creating and improving my videos was a valuable one, and it helped me to not only have fun and express myself creatively, but also to see the value in constantly striving to improve and upgrade my skills. This drive to improve not only helped me to create better videos, but also helped me to grow my subscriber base and establish myself as a creator.
It had been two long years since I had last tried to create content for YouTube. The demands of high school and other personal challenges had caused me to take a step back from video-making, and I wasn't sure if I would ever return to it. But eventually, I found myself drawn back to the world of YouTube, driven by a passion for creativity and the desire to express myself through video.
The result was a video that I consider to be a masterpiece - it had good transitions, a movie-like quality, and was a lot of fun to make. Even though I knew that I probably wouldn't make another video quite like this one again, the experience of creating it was a valuable one. It taught me the power of starting an idea and allowing it to develop over time, and it reminded me of just how much fun it can be to create and collaborate with others.
While I may not have continued my YouTube career in the same way that I started it, the skills and insights that I gained from those early videos have stayed with me. To this day, I still use my video-editing and music-adding skills in the courses and other content that I create. So if there's one thing that I want you to take away from my story, it's this: do what you love to do, even if you're not sure where it will take you. By acting on your passions and following your inspiration, you never know what amazing things you might create.
